Over the coming weeks, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) will be carrying out structural investigations below promenade level at the former Sea Life Building site. This work, as part of the Manly Cove West project, is essential and will help inform planning for the sites final revitilisaton.

What work will be carried out?
Work will include inspections below the promenade and testing to assess current condition and better understand how TfNSW may be able to use the site in the future.
When and where?
Subject to weather and maritime conditions, work will start over the coming weeks (in October 2025) and is expected to take about four weeks to complete.
Working hours are 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
No work will be carried out on the weekends.
Equipment to be used includes a mobile scaffold to access overhead concrete areas, drills and a mortar for small, localised patch repairs if required.
Pedestrian access to the public and commercial area will be maintained and no noise is expected at ground level.
TfNSW will be working below the circular footprint/promenade level only.
