Man pulled unconscious from Queenscliff house fire

At 10.30pm last night , Fire and Rescue NSW Station 024 Manly, Ladder Platform 24 and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 069 Dee Why report responding to a house fire in Pavilion Street, Queenscliff.

On arrival, heavy smoke was seen issuing from the freestanding house. Using two lines of hose, two crews in breathing apparatus entered the building and found a man unconscious in a bedroom.

They dragged him to the nearest exit where he was treated by other firefighters and paramedics.

Police confirmed with Manly Observer overnight that the 55 year old was transported via escort to Royal North Shore Hospital in a crtical condition. Police confirmed they established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fire.

Inquiries are ongoing.
