What’s happening at North Head Manly today?

A large-scale multiagency emergency drill is happening at The Barracks Precinct today, 21 May. NSW Ambulance, NSW Police, Fire and Rescue, Rural Fire Service, St John Ambulance and the State Emergency Service will all be involved.

The exercise runs all day from 6:30am to 4:00pm, with two main 90-minute sessions between 9:30–11:00am and 1:00–2:30pm. You’ll see plenty of emergency vehicles and personnel around the area during these times.

Setting up this morning ahead of a big day of training at North Head.

The action will spread across the parade ground, Gunner Road Car Park, Gun Park Car Park, Water Tower, the Barracks, and surrounding roads. Emergency vehicles will be accessing the site via Bluefish Drive and St Barbaras Avenue.

While the agencies will try to keep disruption to a minimum, expect noticeable activity in the area throughout the day. It’s routine training to make sure all the emergency services can work together smoothly when it counts.
