Alleged drug deal intercepted

A 31-year-old man faces multiple charges after Northern Beaches detectives intercepted an alleged drug supply operation in Manly on Friday evening, 14 November 2025.

Police observed the Dee Why resident engage in what appeared to be a drug transaction with another person inside a vehicle on Wentworth Street at approximately 6:50pm. Officers moved quickly to intercept the car a short time later on North Steyne.

A search of the vehicle and driver uncovered a substantial cache of prohibited substances, including cocaine, MDMA, THC, ketamine, psilocybin and a large quantity of diazepam tablets. Police also seized $4,670 in cash.

The man was arrested and transported to Manly Police Station, where presumptive testing confirmed the presence of the prohibited drugs. He has been charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prescribed restricted substance, and recklessly deal with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail, and the man appeared before Parramatta Local Court the following day, 15 November 2025.

On the same day, Friday, 14 November 2025, Northern Beaches Police received information that a pistol was at a home at Beacon Hill.

Police attended and spoke with a resident.

They consented to the police searching the premises, and police found a COLT 1911 pistol within the premises.

A 51-year-old man was arrested and taken to Manly Police Station. He was charged with ‘Possess unauthorised firearm’ and given conditional bail to appear at Manly Local Court on 10 December 2025.

Counterfeit money detected across businesses on the Northern Beaches

Except for one, all the seized notes carried the same serial number.
