Second drug arrest in Manly in as many weeks, Terrigal man arrested for multiple break and enters in Avalon and smash and grab at Narrabeen trail in this week’s Crime Watch

French national caught supplying drugs in Manly

At about 6:45pm on Friday, 14 November 2025, Northern Beaches police on patrol saw a Toyota Corolla engaged in what appeared to be a suspicious transaction on Darley Road, Manly.

Police followed and stopped the car at North Steyne where they spoke to the driver, a 29-year-old French national who is in Australia on a student visa.

Police had cause to search the car and located a broad range of what police will allege were prohibited drugs, including 21 grams of cocaine, 47 grams of ecstasy, 671 grams magic mushrooms, 1.5 grams of LSD (acid tabs), 8 grams of ketamine, 200 diazepam pills and a sum of cash.

Police arrested the offender and took him to Manly Police Station, where his DNA was taken and he was charged with eight counts of ‘Supply prohibited drug’.

He was refused bail by police and appeared at Parramatta Local Court the following day, where he was refused bail to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on 22 January 2026.

Terrigal man arrested for breaking into Avalon homes

On 20 November 2025, Northern Beaches Detectives executed a search warrant on a home at Terrigal where they arrested a 47-year-old man in connection with two break and enter offences on homes at Avalon.

The first incident was on 10 January 2025.

The second occurred on 29 April 2025, and the intruder did not take anything; however, a woman was home at the time and became alarmed by the intruder.

He was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with one count of ‘Break and enter house, one count of ‘Aggravated break and enter – knowing person there – and one count of ‘Commit section 114 offence, having previous conviction – Sec 115 of the NSW Crimes Act 1900’.

The offender was refused bail by police and appeared before the Gosford Local Court where he was refused bail until 23 January 2026.

Nikon camera stolen from a locked car at Narrabeen trail

At about 2:30pm on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, a local resident parked his VW station wagon at Wakehurst Parkway, Narrabeen and went for a walk on the Caleyi Trail.

He returned an hour and a half later and found the rear driver-side window of his car smashed and thieves had stolen his Nikon Z6 camera with lenses valued at $4,500.

Police attended the scene and found no sign of CCTV cameras. Police recorded the serial numbers of the stolen property in the police database.

Police would like to reminder the community to keep valuables out of sight.
