Northern Beaches local, Jo Taylor has today officially launched Engage Northern Beaches – a free online platform designed to help parents and carers discover engaging activities and strengthen connection with their kids. It’s completely free to use and free for businesses to list, making it accessible for everyone in the community.
Jo, a former celebrity assistant who once managed the fast-paced lives of high-profile stars including Jackie O and Ronan Keating, is now channelling her organisational skills and passion for community into a new venture.
Engage Northern Beaches is a one-stop online search tool for families looking to find out about everything available in the local area aiming to help them bond with their kids and enrich their lives.
“Engage Northern Beaches is all about making family life easier and more fun,” Taylor said.
“I want to help parents and carers find activities that bring their families together and make lasting memories, without the stress of endless searching.”
After years of juggling the demands of A-list schedules and becoming a mum to two boys, Jo realised the importance of meaningful moments and connection with her kids while they’re young.
“I was sitting in my kitchen pulling my hair out trying to find things to do with my kids. I was desperate to get out with them, but was finding it really difficult to find new things to do locally, or was just hearing about things too late and missing out.
“For me, it was always like trying to find a needle in a haystack and I knew other families were feeling the same way. I realised there needed to be one place that was reliable, resourceful and easy to use. It didn’t exist, so I decided to create it.
