Locals are being urged to take care around Narrabeen Lagoon after police began investigating three alleged sexual offences against women earlier this week.
The incidents, which occurred while women were walking or exercising in the area, include alleged sexual touching and inappropriate sexual comments. Two involved a person on an e-bike, though the descriptions given to police suggest more than one person may be involved.
In the first, a woman walking on the Narrabeen Lagoon Trail about 3.55pm on Wednesday 7 October was allegedly approached by a man on an e-bike, who touched her sexually and then rode off. He is described as slim, and was wearing a fluorescent yellow shirt and dark pants.
The following afternoon, about 3.15pm on Thursday 8 October, a woman running on the Narrabeen Lake track was allegedly subjected to inappropriate sexual comments by an unknown person. Police describe that person as Caucasian in appearance, aged 17 to 25, of medium build, with brown or hazel eyes, short spiky brown hair, sideburns and a mole on one cheek.
About two hours later, at roughly 5.30pm the same day, a woman exercising on a track at Billabong Reserve was allegedly approached by someone on an e-bike who touched her sexually before leaving. That person is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged 15 or 16, about 175cm tall and slim, with curly blonde hair, and was wearing a red and white T-shirt.
Police are still investigating whether the incidents are linked.
Anyone with information, mobile phone, dashcam footage, or who may have witnessed any of the incidents is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
