Hotter and Healthier 2026 is coming to Manly Pavilion on Friday, 6 February – a full-day celebration of women’s health, wellness, and community.
Held in The Cove at Manly Pavilion, the full-day experience blends expert conversations, hands-on wellness activations, food, music, and community – all while supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
While menopause has traditionally been treated as something women navigate quietly and often alone, Australian health research suggests many women feel under-prepared for the physical and emotional changes that come with midlife. It’s less a lack of interest, and more a lack of accessible conversations that bring prevention, wellbeing, and practical guidance together in one place.
Hotter and Healthier is designed to do exactly that, creating space for shared experience, expert insight, and a more positive, connected approach to women’s health. And this year they’ve expanded the topics to reach women in a broad range of life stages.
Rather than focusing on a single diagnosis or life stage, the program reflects a broader shift in how women’s health is being discussed; one that recognises the overlap between hormones, movement, nutrition, mental health, relationships, and work, and the value of understanding how those pieces fit together.

A Day That Starts With Breathwork and Opens Up Bigger Conversations
The day begins at 11:00am with guided breathwork session led by Layne Beachley AO and Tess Brouwer, setting the tone for a program built around awareness, calm, and confidence. (Breathwork is included with full-day tickets.)
It’s a fitting way to start an event shaped by the idea that wellbeing is not just physical or medical, but mental, emotional, and social too. Increasingly, health research points to the value of addressing these areas together rather than in isolation, particularly during midlife transitions.
From there, the event opens into an expo-style experience featuring bone density scans, pelvic floor technology, screening tools, and wellness products. These hands-on elements reflect a growing emphasis on prevention and early awareness – areas many women say they wish they had clearer access to earlier in life.

Expert Voices, Real-World Topics
Hosted by Edwina Bartholomew, the conversation series brings together medical experts, health practitioners, and familiar voices to explore how women’s health plays out beyond the clinic.
The conversations span clinical insight, lived experience, and practical advice, with speakers including:
- Dr Louise Newson (joining remotely)
- Dr Ceri Cashell, Dr Sarah Farrell, and Leanne Mulheron
- Michelle Bridges on fitness and nutrition
- Kate Thomas on supplements
- Shelly Horton on menopause in the workplace
- George Whelan and Heather Foord on pelvic health and sexual wellbeing
Food, Music, and Space to Connect
True to The Boathouse Group’s style, the day balances information with indulgence. Guests are welcomed with a glass of Chandon, followed by roaming canapĂ©s, a buffet lunch, premium beverages, and live music by B.side.
It’s designed to feel less like a conference and more like a shared experience, where conversations continue over lunch and connection is as much part of the program as what’s happening on stage.
