The proposed development has the same siting, arrangement and architectural style as that in development consent DA2023/1821, which, in November 2024, was approved for a six storey residential flat building with 40 apartments.
However, this proposal seeks to introduce an additional eight units over two additional floors under the affordable housing provisions of the State’s Low to Mid Rise Housing policy.
Therefore, the new DA proposes a residential flat building with 48 units. Within the three-level basement carpark, there will be 66 underground residential car spaces (including six visitor spaces and EV charging), 122 bicycle racks and 11 motorbike parking spaces. There will also be parking available on Level 1, which will include six car share spaces with EV charging stations, 12 visitor bicycle racks and 1 motorbike parking space.
There will be a total of five one-bedroom units, 15 two-bedroom units and 28 three-bedroom units.
Of the 48 units, 14 units will be dedicated to affordable housing. Eight will be dedicated to the State under the Low to Mid Rise Housing, and six units will be dedicated to Council’s affordable housing contribution scheme.
