What’s new?

From Monday 18 October if everyone is vaccinated you can now have 20 visitors into your home, not counting children under 12. Unvaccinated tweens (13-15) count as adults, but can be there, too.

Up to 50 people can now gather outside in public places, and wedding and funerals can go ahead without guest limits.

Indoor pools are still open for swimming lessons, squad training, lap swimming, and rehab activities only. This seems to largely permit everything except for indoor kids pools/splash and play type set ups.

School is back for all

All school students will also now return to on site learning with a range of COVID-safe measures in place by October 25, with the second and third stages of the return to school plan now combined. Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 12 students will still return to face-to-face learning on October 18, with all other years now returning one week later on October 25.

Had enough of the Beaches?

Yes, you can leave your LGA and travel freely throughout Sydney

This means you can now travel freely throughout Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Shellharbour and the Central Coast. We can not travel anywhere else within NSW further until 1 November. From this date we are also free to leave Australia for any reason.
