HAPPENING NOW: TEEN FALLS FROM MOVING BUS
A female teen has fallen from a moving bus on the Spit Bridge at Seaforth this evening, 28 September.
Early witness reports state the doors opened while the bus was moving and the girl fell out.
One witness on the bus at the time told Manly Observer: “We were going around the bend and I was on the top at the backseat and as the bus came around that corner next to that bush everyone started gasping and that’s when I looked behind and saw a lady tumbling down the road out the bus.”
Paramedics and police responded to the incident just before 5.45 pm and are still treating the victim on the scene. It is reported she has multiple grazes and a hip injury but is in a stable condition.
B-Line and Northern Beaches buses operator Keolis Downer has said they are aware of the situation and will be looking into what could have caused the incident.
“We are aware of an incident that occurred earlier this evening on our B-Line service which resulted in a passenger falling from the bus. There will be a full investigation into this incident, however, our first thoughts are for the welfare of the passenger involved,” a Keolis Downer representative told Manly Observer.
