A short time ago, police were told a 16-year-old boy – who was travelling in the front-passenger seat – had died.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

Inquiries are now being conducted by officers attached to Crash Investigation Unit (CIU).

They are appealing for any witnesses, anyone who may have been travelling along the Cabbage Tree Road or the surrounding streets at the time, or who may have dashcam vision, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
