Stolen Porsche, a triple break in arrest and a ATO tax scam in this week’s Crime Watch

Man arrested for repeated break and enter at Dunes Palm Beach

Between 6 July 2025 and 22 July 2025, a man forced entry into Dunes at Palm Beach on three separate occasions, where police say he stole food and cooking utensils valued at over $2,000.

The 32-year-old was arrested and charged with three counts of break, enter and steal offences. He was refused bail and will attend Manly Local Court on 13 August 2025.

Porshe 356 stolen from Collaroy Plateau home

Between Monday, 28 July 2025 and Tuesday, 29 July 2025, a rare classic Porshe 356 was stolen from a Collaroy Plateau address.

Police are seeking information which may assist in recovering this valuable vehicle.

ATO scams on the increase with the end of the financial year

Police are seeing an increase in ATO scams as the financial year ends.

On 21 July 2025, a Northern Beaches resident received a text message from an unknown number claiming to be the ATO and providing a link.

Upon clicking the link, the victim’s details were populated into an online form, and further personal details were requested.

A tax return was then submitted for the victim without their knowledge.

NSW Police Polar Plunge at Dee Why Rock Pool this Sunday, 3 August 2025

Police from Northern Beaches and North Shore took part in the 2025 Polar Plunge hosted by Special Olympics Sydney Northern Beaches and Special Olympics Sydney Upper North Shore which on Sunday 3 August 2025, raising money for Special Olympics NSW.
