Stolen car crash in Narraweena, drug bust in Manly and a “toy” is stolen from a Brookie adult entertainment store and more in this week’s Crime Watch

It’s been a busy week for police, but let’s start with a car stolen from North Narrabeen which was then later involved in a crash in Narraweena.

On 3 February 2026, between 9.00pm and 4.00am (the following day) a car was stolen from a driveway in Lido Avenue, North Narrabeen.

Around 4:06am, the stolen car was involved in a collision with parked cars in Alfred Street, Narraweena.

Witnesses saw and filmed two unknown men run from the accident.

The stolen car underwent a forensic examination, and police have commenced an investigation.

Drug supplier arrested in Manly

On Saturday, 31 January 2026, at around 7pm, Northern Beaches Detectives observed a man participate in a drug transaction with an unknown man in Ashburner St, Manly.

Detectives stopped the vehicle a short time later. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Balgowlah and his occupants, including a child, were removed from the car. Detectives conducted a search of the occupants and the car and located cocaine and $1,450 cash.

The man was arrested and taken to Manly Police Station where presumptive tests confirmed the above prohibited drug. He was charged with ‘Supply Prohibited Drug’ and ‘Recklessly Deal with Proceeds of Crime’.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Manly Local Court on 3 March 2026.

Thieves target adult entertainment store in Brookvale

On 3 February 2026, at around 3pm, a man entered an adult entertainment store in Brookvale.

He told the store attendant that he was looking for a gift for a friend.

The store attendant assisted him, showing him to a section of the store before being distracted by another customer.

The man left the store. A short time later, the attendant noticed the empty packaging of an adult entertainment toy on the floor.

Jewellery stolen from a charity store in Manly

Around 12pm on 1 February 2026, an unknown woman entered a charity store in Manly.

She requested to look at some items of jewellery which were stored in a cabinet. The store attendant was distracted for a period of time, and the woman continued to browse around the store, trying on clothing, before leaving.

The next day, staff members were alerted to the fact that an item of jewellery valued at $1,000 was missing and reported the matter to the police.

Warning for online frauds

Police are reminding Northern Beaches residents to be careful with on-line/over the phone frauds.

This comes after a 79-year-old man from Fairlight reported to police that he received a phone call from a person saying they were from a telephone company and that he needed to download apps on his mobile and computer to assist with faster internet speeds.

The man was fortunate that he made some inquiries into this, which resulted in him deleting the apps. Thankfully, he had no financial loss.

E-bikes still hot property for thieves

Police are also reminding all e-bike owners to take precautions when storing their e-bikes out in public and to use strong chains/locks to secure their bikes, after a number of e-bikes were stolen in the past week across the Northern Beaches.

Counterfeit money continues to do the rounds on the Beaches

During January and the early parts of this month, several counterfeit $100 and $50 notes were circulated at numerous businesses across the Northern Beaches.

All the seized notes have similar characteristics.

Northern Beaches Detectives are managing all the counterfeit money detection investigations; however, they have notified the Australian Federal Police.
