Man dies after pulled from water at Balgowlah Heights

About 2.15pm today, Sunday 25 July 2021, emergency services were called to Grotto Point Reserve at Balgowlah Heights, after reports a spearfisherman had been pulled from the water unconscious.

The man was brought to shore and CPR was performed, however he died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers from the Marine Area Command have commenced an investigation into his death and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
