Local teens arrested over Manly break in and assault

Four local teenage boys have been charged following a robbery and assault at a Manly business on the weekend.

The incident unfolded around 11pm on Saturday 10 January 2026, when emergency services responded to reports of an assault at a shop on The Corso in Manly.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police discovered that a group of teenagers had entered the premises, with one allegedly kicking in the storeroom door.

Police say that when a 28-year-old staff member attempted to remove the group, he was subjected to a sustained assault. As the attack continued, other members of the group seized the opportunity to steal items from the store before fleeing the scene.

Police apprehended a 17-year-old boy in the vicinity, after the incident. He was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital for treatment under police guard before being transferred to Manly Police Station the on 11 January.

On 14 January, detectives arrested two 16-year-old boys from the Beacon Hill and North Narrabeen areas


The teenager faced an extensive list of charges, including aggravated robbery with wounding, multiple aggravated break and enter offences, and robbery armed with an offensive weapon. Though initially refused bail, he was subsequently granted conditional bail and appeared at Children’s Court on 12 January, where proceedings remain ongoing.

The investigation led to further arrests over the following days. On 14 January, detectives arrested two 16-year-old boys from the Beacon Hill and North Narrabeen areas. This morning, 15 January, a 15-year-old boy was apprehended in Manly.

All three teenagers were charged with identical offences referenced above, and were granted conditional bail to appear at Children’s Court on 18 February 2026.
