Hear the roar! Dragon Boat Club hosting Open Day on Sunday

This Sunday morning in Manly, from 10am to midday at the Manly Yacht Club just next to Manly Skiff Club on the far eastern edge of East Esplanade, the Northern Beaches Dragon Boat Club is holding an Open Day for anyone who’d give it a go.

There’ll be big long boats. Lots of rowers, maybe 20 per vessel, plunging oars into the briny and churning through the water in synchronicity to the beat of a big bongo drum.

It’s social – you do it with mates. It’s fun. It keeps you fit. And it’s a cracker of a way to kick off a Sunday morning and see Manly from the sea.

Support quality local news

Manly Observer is an experiment in providing non-sensationalist hyperlocal news on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. We cover the big news across the LGA, but with a hyper focus on the Manly electorate encompassing Balgowlah, Seaforth, Freshwater, Brookvale and Curl Curl up to Dee Why. It is run by those living in the community for the benefit of an informed community. We care about an informed and connected community. That’s it. Simple. Thank you for your support in keeping quality local news alive!
