If you’re on the hunt for some new season threads but are uninspired by retail offerings, or just love the thrill of the find and tired of fast fashion, rejoice! On Saturday 13 March local business Goodwill Hunting Co. is hosting its Clothes Swap in Balgowlah.
After the sell-out sessions in November, the Goodwill Hunting team thought to satiate the Beaches’ thirst for sustainable fashion with another event, with remaining donations going to charity and additional fundraising on site for Community Northern Beaches.
So how does it work?
Two swap sessions will be held at Club Totem in Balgowlah. You register for either the 11am or 2pm drop and swap here.
You choose four to 10 quality clothing items without holes or stains, that you can genuinely see someone else loving but you no longer have a need for. (Hahum, Covid kilos).
Drop off these items at check in – adult and children clothing is accepted as are accessories, bags, belts and shoes. There is a general skew towards women’s clothing and attendance. You receive tokens for the clothing on arrival which you can then use to buy items in the swap.
This is the third year the team at Goodwill Hunting Co. have held the popular event.
“Goodwill Hunting Co. is a local business that helps support charities and community groups in all areas of their work from fundraising to community engagement and project management to impact measurement,” co-founder Sera Kumeroa said.

“We also run our own bespoke events in support of local charities and groups and our clothes swap is one of them. They are a fantastic way to bring women together with a shared passion for fashion and commitment to our environment.”
Tickets are under $30 and there’s bubbly on arrival. For more information visit https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/ghc-clothes-swap-tickets-142186394333
