Determined
Narrabeen RSL Club, 116 Nareen Parade, North Narrabeen – DA2025/0266
Determination: Approved
Date determined: 04/06/2025
Cost of Work: $677,526
After going into voluntary administration, Narrabeen RSL Club will be demolished (including access pathways and lower level retaining walls) after Northern Beaches Local Planning Panel (NBLPP) gave the plans their stamp of approval.
The demolition works are a precursor to a separate development application proposing the residential subdivision of land with all disturbed areas of the site stabilised and protected by way of erosion and sedimentation controls in the intervening period between demolition works and the implementation of the future subdivision consent.
The approval is subject to the conditions set out in the Assessment Report, Supplementary Memo and the following:
- Following demolition the site is to be maintained and secured to protect the environment from pollution, to avoid any adverse impacts on the surrounding area, and to ensure public safety.
- Any new information revealed during demolition works that has the potential to alter previous conclusions about site contamination or hazardous materials shall be immediately notified to the Council and the Principal Certifier. In this event, the Demolition Management Plan must be amended to address the unexpected finds and submitted to the Certifier for approval prior to the recommencement of demolition works in the affected area.
