There’s now a new way for commuters and day trippers to get from Manly Wharf to Double Bay and Watsons Bay – or the reverse – seven days a week, thanks to NRMA’s Fantasea Cruising.
The new Bay2Beach Express now connects Manly, Double Bay and Watsons Bay in a scenic and direct ride on the Harbour. It’s a great way to entice friends to our side of town without – GASP – crossing the bridge. Or head to somewhere new in the City’s east and enjoy the sparkling harbour views enroute.
While of course no match for the myriad delights of our magnificent Manly and surrounds, there’s much to love about Watsons Bay. It has a lot of history, some great beaches, spectacular views and delectable seafood – particularly at the legendary Doyle’s and the Watson’s Bay Hotel.
Located on the South Head peninsula in Sydney’s east, Watson’s Bay is a great destination for an enjoyable day out – in particular the walking track along the clifftops of the Gap Bluff with expansive views over the vast Pacific Ocean, and the popular circuit walk that take in the scenic and historic Camp Cove and Green Point on Sydney Harbour.
Next stop on the Bay2Beach Express is Double Bay, a haven for connoisseurs of fine dining, high-end bars and boutique shopping. Indulge with an aperitif or two at Bobbie’s with its mid-century furnishings and world-class cocktails. NRMA Chief Operating Officer Marine, Nigel Ellsmore said there was no better way to explore Sydney’s luxurious Eastern Suburbs than by the Bay2Beach Express, and it is a great opportunity to bring new customers to local businesses from an affluent part of town.

The Bay2Beach Express operates 7 days a weeks – first departure from Manly Wharf is at 11.15am each day – and only takes 15 minutes from Manly to Watsons Bay, and 30 minutes to Double Bay, at a maximum fare rate of $9.50. Tickets can be purchased on board or booked online.
