Trouser snake absconds in Dee Why

Wilful and obscene exposure

Around midday on 22 January 2025, a 45 year old male was seen acting erratically by members of the public – running around a stationary vehicle on Pittwater Road, Dee Why and swinging his pants around.

Police were contacted and attended the scene.

The male ran from Police. He ran into Mooramba Road where he was confronted by Police- and perhaps Police were confronted in kind: they will allege he took off his underpants, exposing himself.

The male was arrested and charged with obscene exposure. He will appear at Manly Local Court on the 12 February 2025.

E-bike stolen Kenneth Road, Manly Vale

On 23 January 2025, a secured E-bike at Park and Ride at Manly Vale was stolen between 5am and 2.30pm. Police are appealing for witnesses.

E-bikes are rising in popularity and reflects in increasing numbers being stolen. Locals are advised to keep them locked and secured.

Fraud

On 11 January 2025, an elderly victim from Fairlight was cold called and advised their computer had been compromised by hackers and instructed to place their credit and debit cards in the letterbox to assist in identifying the hackers. Victim followed these instructions. Multiple withdrawals were made from the victim’s account.

Police wish to highlight financial institutions will not request their customers’ bank/personal identification. If people receive unexpected calls or emails, do not provide details. Do not call the number provided in a call or email, and independently verify the information with their bank.
