Cleaner charged with stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of property and more in this week’s Crime Watch

Over the last couple of years, a North Curl Curl resident noticed items were missing from their home.

In July this year, they reported the missing items to police and provided police with surveillance footage of recent thefts.

On 12 September 2025, Northern Beaches Detectives executed a search warrant at the offender’s Marsfield home and located many items believed to have been stolen.

A 67-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Gladesville Police Station and charged with nine counts of ‘Steal property in dwelling-house (Section 148 Crime Act NSW)’ and one count of ‘Dispose property where stealing is a serious indictable offence (Section 188 Crimes Act NSW)’.

Police will allege the woman was performing work as a house cleaner when she committed the offences.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on 27 October 2025.

The stolen property includes designer handbags, and the total value is yet to be confirmed but expected to be in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Police will make inquiries to identify the owners of the seized property.

Police searching for unregistered trail bike riders after altercation

At about 4:00pm on Thursday, 11 September 2025, a resident of Lady Penrhyn Drive, Beacon Hill, challenged two people riding trail bikes outside his home.

The riders stopped, and there was an altercation between the resident and a rider.

The riders sped off on motorbikes that did not bear number plates, and they wore protective gear with full-face helmets.

There was no CCTV in the area, and the only description of one of the riders is of a male aged in his twenties.

Police urge residents of the Beacon Hill area to contact them if they see unregistered trail bikes riding on public roads.

Erratic patron arrested at Manly Corso

Around 2:00am on Sunday, 7 September 2025, police were conducting foot patrols of the Manly Corso and encountered a male patron who was ejected from The Steyne Hotel because of his level of intoxication.

The man allegedly snuck back into The Steyne Hotel and was identified by security staff.

Police approached him and asked him to leave the area several times.

Police will allege he was argumentative and threatened police.

He refused to leave the area and was arrested and searched.

Police will allege he was in possession of a small quantity of a prohibited drug that presumptive testing indicated was MDMA (ecstasy).

The 31-year-old from Dee Why was taken to Manly Police Station and charged with ‘Excluded person fail to leave premises when required (Liquor Act)’, ‘Assault police officer in execution of duty’, and ‘Supply prohibited drug’.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Manly Local Court on 24 September 2025.
