154-158 Pacific Parade, Dee Why – DA2025/0024

Determination: Approved

Date determined: 19 November 2025

Cost of Work: $ 11,034,224

The Northern Beaches Local Planning Panel unanimously approved the proposal to construct shop-top housing at the site where Beach Burrito Co and JB & Sons are.

Council recommended for the application to be approved despite 22 of the 23 submissions being against the development, mainly due to height and loss of views by neighbours.

In January 2025, Harrington Property lodged the $11 million DA – they first purchased the block 154-158 Pacific Parade Dee Why in 2014 for $2.75 million.

The new building will feature nine apartments (three allocated as affordable rental apartments) over three levels, with a ground level for cafes and restaurants.

We covered the DA in detail here, and before anyone cries over the loss of a burrito or burger, both businesses have about another four years on their leases and they may be considered for the new ground-level.
