Window smasher accused denied bail at Manly Court

Northern Beaches man Thomas Valentine appeared at Manly Local Court this morning, 31 October, charged with 39 offences relating to a window smashing spree earlier this week.

The 39 year old is accused of causing about $2 million in damages, allegedly with a hammer.

CCTV footage aired on Channel 9

Court documents viewed by Manly Observer show it is alleged the vandalism commenced at about 5pm on 29 October 2023 with smashing a window at Northern Beaches Cancer Care in Frenchs Forest, later moving to a Commonwealth Bank in Dee Why, then a bakery in Allambie Heights, through to several businesses and ATMS in Manly before he was arrested st Manly Wharf some 12 hours after the first alleged offence.

Further charges relating to multiple vehicle damages are expected.

He was refused bail to appear at Downing Court on January 9.
