Tony Isgrove’s passion for paint runs deep – he may well have been born with a brush in his hand and Dulux in his veins! “I am really into abstract art and mostly with acrylics – its fun to create and take yourself to different spaces,” Tony says, adding that two of his favourite artists are Willem de Kooning and Mark Rothko.

He got his start as a professional painter and decorator in his early teens helping out his father on small jobs, inheriting a solid work ethic and problem-solving abilities along the way. At the age of 20, with a clear vision of his future, Tony took a bold step and placed an ad in the North Shore Times to start his own business. His drive to deliver high-quality work, combined with the knowledge he gained working alongside his father, quickly earned many loyal clients.

One of the most memorable local projects was an old eight-storey block of units at 114 North Steyne, Manly.

“This job took approximately seven months to complete from start to end – all the owners and committee members were absolutely amazed with the results.”
