Manly’s Health and Wellness Day returns this Feb 15

Manly Health and Wellness Day is cartwheeling into its third year on Saturday, 15 February at 9am on Manly’s beachfront.

The day will start with a session focusing on ‘Balancing Wellness Goals and Life Commitments’. It continues until 3pm with an even mix of high-intensity activities like Beach Olympics, meditative sessions like breathwork, and  informative panels led by experts in the field (you can check out the timetable here). Plus, local health and wellness businesses will be showcasing their services and exclusive deals and giveaways.

Since its inception in 2023, Alex Jacques, Founder of Manly’s ANTHEMCYCLE and head of the Health & Wellness Subcommittee for the Manly Business Chamber, and Ashling O’Brien, Franchise Partner & Centre Manager of OsteoStrong have worked with Northern Beaches Council to create a space for locals and health and wellness business owners to come together.

“The goal is to create meaningful connections between local residents and the incredible health and wellness businesses in their backyard,” Alex told Manly Observer.

“Manly is an active and vibrant community, but many people are unaware of the diverse wellness services available to them.”

Alex added health and wellness businesses are often away from Manly’s main pedestrian walkways or high-foot-traffic storefronts and don’t benefit from Manly’s tourism. Instead, these businesses rely on the support of locals who may not know of their services.

“Manly is an active and vibrant community, but many people are unaware of the diverse wellness services available to them.”

“This event provides a platform for exposure, allowing small business owners to engage with the community while offering residents a chance to explore fitness classes, holistic health services, and expert-led panel discussions in a fun and engaging way,” she said.

Last year, 1,500 locals attended, as Alex referred to it, “one of the only events in Manly designed specifically for its residents”.

Whether you’re looking to test out a new fitness class, meet local health experts, try out a wellness service or simply connect with likeminded people, Alex said this day has something for everyone.

“Manly Health & Wellness Day isn’t just about discovering new ways to stay active,” she explained.

“It’s also an opportunity to take charge of your wellbeing with free health assessments and consultations from local experts. Plus, many of our participating businesses will be offering exclusive giveaways and special offers throughout the day.”

You’ll need to register for the fitness classes in advance (which you can do here), or you can just pop down on the day and connect with the local stallholders.
