A 74-year-old man today faced Manly Court over alleged child sexual assault offences.
They relate to the alleged rape of two teenagers in Collaroy almost 50 years ago.
Colin Raymond Harris has been charged with five counts of rape, and commit act of indecency on female, under 16 years , which allegedly involved kissing the stomach of one of the girls and biting her breasts.
The acts were said to of taken place in Collaroy on separate occasions between 1 December 1976 and 1 February 1977.
It was alleged by police via court documents one of the victims was raped three times by Harris and the other victim twice. Both girls were aged 13 at the time and known to him.
The charges were dealt following investigations by detectives from Northern Beaches Police Area Command who began looking into the allegations i late 2023.
The Kirra Kirra man attended Manly Local Court today, 17 September, but gave no pleas.
The matter was adjourned for 11 November at the Downing Centre Local Court.
