Man arrested after an alleged child approach

A man has been granted conditional bail following an alleged child approach in Narrabeen this week.

Police were told the 62-year-old approached a 13-year-old boy, unknown to him, inside a toilet block at a reserve on the Wakehurst Parkway, Narrabeen, on Sunday, 28 December.

Northern Beaches officers attended and established a crime scene after the man was picked up by an unknown person and left the location.

The man was arrested the next day at 4 pm at Collaroy Rockpool, on Beach Road, following inquiries made to the police.

He was taken to Manly Police Station, where he was charged with observe person in private act without consent-aggravated, and stalk intimidate intend fear physical harm.

The man will appear at Manly Local Court on Thursday, 15 January 2026.
