A man and a teenage boy have been arrested following a pursuit of a stolen Jeep that ended in a Spit Bridge collision overnight.
About 2.20am this morning (Monday 19 August 2024), a vehicle was allegedly stolen from a home in Adrian Place, Balgowlah Heights, during a break and enter whilst the family were asleep.
A short time later officers spotted the vehicle, understood to be a Jeep, travelling north along Belgrave Street, Manly, where they attempted to stop the vehicle.
When the vehicle failed to stop a pursuit was initiated.
Road spikes were successfully deployed on Spit Road, Mosman, where the vehicle crashed into a traffic control light.
A 14-year-old boy was later arrested in Pearl Bay Road, Mosman.
The 20-year-old man was taken to Manly Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter swelling etc in company steal, be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner and face blackened/disguised with intent commit indictable offence.
He was refused bail to appear at Manly Local Court today (Monday 19 August 2024).

He was refused bail to appear at a children’s court today (Monday 19 August 2024).
