It’s been in a state of sad disrepair for several years, with everything from indoor soccer to outdoor theatre mooted on the prime land, corner of Kentwell and Pittwater roads.
But now Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club have been approved to up shop from their base in the Cromer industrial zone to build a multi-sport facility and gymnastics Centre of Excellence on the site of the old North Manly Bowling Club.
And it will be like nothing seen ever before in Australia, according to MWGC chief Ian Hardy.
