Nissan Patrol stolen from Warriewood recovered at Greenacre
Between 8:30pm on Tuesday, 1 July 2025 and 6am the next day, a Nissan Patrol 4WD was stolen from Macpherson St in Warriewood.
The owner tracked the Nissan with an AirTag he had inside a toolbox to Greenacre. Bankstown police dispatched officers who located the Nissan on Lawford St in Greenacre. The vehicle was fitted with different number plates, and a number of power tools were stolen.
The Nissan was towed to a police holding yard and forensically examined.
The owner was reunited with his car; however, his tools are outstanding. The foreign number plates attached to the stolen car are not currently connected to another crime.
Inquiries are continuing, and police are waiting for the results of the forensic examination.

Blacktown police were dispatched, and they seized the e-bike intact from a yard. However, there was insufficient evidence to lay charges.
Police contacted the local owner to collect his e-bike from Blacktown Police Station.
Theives target unlocked car
Police remind the community to take steps to reduce temptation for opportunistic thieves as an unlocked car in Mona Vale was ransacked earlier this month.
On 9 July 2025, police report a Mona Vale resident parked their car on Old Samuel Street and returned the following morning to find it ransacked.
There was no damage to the car; however, valuables including sunglasses, AirPods and a small amount of cash were stolen.
Police said this appears to be an opportunistic crime. Police have urged owners to lock their cars and remove valuables from plain sight.
Police use Facebook to reunite owner with lost diamond ring
On Wednesday, 4 June 2025, a staff member found a ring inside a Newport restaurant and, after making internal inquiries to locate an owner failed, she handed the ring in to Mona Vale Police Station.
Police posted a story with a photo of the lost gold and diamond ring on Facebook.

On 22 June, the owner saw the Facebook post and attended the police station with photos to prove the ring was hers. The happy owner from Newport was reunited with her ring thanks to the power of social media and a little help from the police.
