Balgowlah bushfire brought under control

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) was called to a bush fire at Tania Park at Bareena Drive in Balgowlah Heights this afternoon, 15 April.

On arrival, crews report finding a fire that was approximately once acre in size, burning close to nearby houses on Heathcliff Crescent.

Crews from Manly, Mosman and Dee Why worked to extinguish the fire and protect nearby homes.

Firefighters brought the fire under control at approximately after about an hour, and remained on site working to extinguish any remaining hot spots through the evening.
