Paramedics transported the man from the scene to hospital with burns to his face, hands and airway. Over 30 firefighters from FRNSW were present who described the house to be engulfed in flames.

“When we got here that home was totally involved in fire, flames venting out all the windows and starting to vent through the roof,” FRNSW Superintendent Adam Dewberry from the scene of the blaze.

“We have had roof collapse. A difficult fire to extinguish due to the heat and also the structural collapse.”

It took approximately an hour to contain and extinguish the fire which completely destroyed the house. Investigations on what caused the fire underway.
