The 19th Edition of the FANS French Market Returns
ONE OF SYDNEY’S MOST ANTICIPATED FRENCH CULTURAL CELEBRATIONS
A highlight on Sydney’s market calendar, the French Market attracts thousands of visitors from across the city to enjoy a taste of France on the Northern Beaches. Organised by FANS, the French-speaking Association of the North Shore, the French Market offers an authentic and vibrant day out for the whole family.
- French boutique shopping: With over 60 professional vendors, market-goers will find delicious French food, quality homewares, chic fashion and accessories, handcrafted jewellery, and unique gifts. Many products are sourced directly from France or created by French artisans, bringing genuine cultural richness to the event.
- Family fun: Families will delight in a lively atmosphere, with carnival rides, traditional children’s games, and sweet treats such as fairy floss, snow cones, croissants, crêpes, and waffles.
- Cultural immersion: Stroll through market streets designed with French flair while enjoying a barista-made coffee and a fresh pain au chocolat. Two live music stages will keep the energy high all day long. Book lovers can also explore the massive second-hand book stall, brimming with hundreds of French-language titles for both adults and children alike.
- For a cause: The French Market is a major fundraising event for FANS, the not-for-profit association that has been delivering the French Bilingual Program at Killarney Heights Public School (KHPS) for over 25 years. Today, more than 550 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 benefit from the unique program, which fosters bilingual global citizens with a multicultural outlook.
