Human Library: Voices of Resilience
Celebrate Refugee Week on the Northern Beaches at the Human Library Event: Voices of Resilience.
Voices of Resilience is a Human Library event held during Refugee Week 2025, where participants can “check out” human books who are refugees sharing personal stories of resilience, courage, and hope. This event aims to foster empathy, challenge stereotypes, and promote inclusion by encouraging dialogue between refugees and the wider community. Join us to celebrate cultural diversity, raise awareness of refugee experiences, and support a more inclusive and compassionate society.
This event is coordinated by LocalKind and the Northern Beaches Multicultural Network, which will be joined by local author Melinda Ham as the event’s MC and a guest speaker. Melinda is the author of The Lucky Ones: Stories of Australian Refugee Journeys, which was published in 2024.
