TARONGA ON ICE
If you want an even wilder time at Taronga Zoo and learn what it’s really like to be a penguin finding your flippers on ice, you’ll have your chance during the school holidays.
Set against the backdrop of Taronga’s iconic heritage gates, Taronga On Ice is an open-air, pop-up ice rink suitable for skaters of all ages and skill levels. Skating sessions run for 45 minutes and prices are in addition to daily zoo entry, with combo pricing available. Children aged from 2 to 4 are free with a paying adult. There will also be adult only sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Taronga Zoo is proudly not-for-profit, so a spin on the ice this winter not only gives you the chance to learn about the challenges facing little penguins in the wild, but supports the vital conservation efforts Taronga is taking to protect this iconic native species.
