Remembrance Day Services – Manly & Manly Dam
After a two-year hiatus, this year’s Remembrance Day will be extra special with locals being able to gather, participate and honour our service personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country.
Remembrance Day commemorates the Armistice which formally concluded hostilities in World War I, the ceasefire taking effect at 11am, on 11 November 1918 after more than four years of continuous warfare.
This year, the Northern Beaches Council is hosting two services that will take place at Manly War Memorial, The Corso (in front of Manly Town Hall) and at Manly Dam, on Friday 11 November, commencing at 10.45am.
“All members of the community are invited to attend, and there is an opportunity for the general public to lay private tributes.” Mayor Regan.
