Phoenix Collective Sunday Sessions – The Juliet Letters
Phoenix Collective Sunday Sessions, as part of Willoughby Council’s 2002 season of Chatswood Culture Bites, brings together some of Australia’s most accomplished and high-profile musicians.
The Juliet Letters by Elvis Costello and the Brodksky Quartet features Mezzo Soprano, Jacqueline Dark, in a song sequence with string quartet marrying chamber music with Beatles-esque art-pop. Inspired by the true story of a Verona professor who responded to letters addressed to Juliet, of Romeo and Juliet fame.
