Manly SES Open Day
Grab your family and friends and visit Manly’s SES unit to find out what these legends do for us when we’re in trouble. In fact, while you’re there, think about joining up as a volunteer. Full training and certification to operate chainsaws and set up safety systems to ensure safe storm operations or rescue people during flood events is carried out in just a couple of months. Don’t worry about your age, or your lack of skills, you’ll be taught how to make a difference and help other residents when nature strikes. And if you’re not the physical type, don’t worry, there’s plenty to do behind the scenes.
At the Open Day you’ll meet other volunteers, great people from all walks of life, motivated and united by the idea of supporting our community. There’s a free sausage sizzle, cakes will be baked and there’ll be entertainment for the kids.
