Head to Cabbage Tree Bay to celebrate 20 years since this iconic landmark was declared a ‘No Take’ Aquatic Reserve.

The declaration means that the reserve’s plants, animals and habitats can flourish, with fishing and the collection of marine organisms prohibited.

To help celebrate, join one or more of the fun and educational activities being held at the reserve coinciding with World Environment Day.

The Day at the Bay event kicks off with a smoking ceremony and First Nations’ dance performance followed by activities for the kids, marine talks and walks, a display of the finalists of the UNDERWATER Photography Competition, live music with Lux Travis, a chance to speak with our volunteers and more. BYO snorkel and dive in to enjoy the amazing biodiversity of the reserve.
