$63 – $70 per hour

The role

We are seeking experienced, motivated and outgoing Contract Trainers to provide a high standard of training and assessment in the following courses beginning July 2023. Note: trainers must be available to deliver training, in person, on campus, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches/Lower North Shore.

  • Diploma of Project Management BSB50820 – Wednesday evenings via Zoom plus 7 Saturdays at Brookvale Campus beginning Wed 26 July. Course concludes August 2024 – no classes during school holidays.
  • Certificate IV in School Based Education Support CHC40221:
    Daytime Course – Monday & Tuesdays 9.15am to 2.45pm at Brookvale Campus 
    Evening Course – Tuesdays & Thursdays 6.15pm to 9.15pm plus 2 Saturdays at Brookvale Campus
    Note: Both courses commence July 2023 and conclude July 2024 – no classes during school holidays.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support  – Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am to 3pm commencing July at Brookvale Campus. Course concludes November 2023 – no classes during school holidays.
  • Diploma of Leadership & Management BSB50420:
    Daytime CourseMondays 9.15am to 2.45pm at Brookvale Campus 
    Evening Course – Thursdays 6.15pm to 9.15pm at Brookvale Campus
    Note: Both courses commence July 2023 and conclude July/August 2024 – no classes during school holidays.
  • Diploma of Counselling CHC51015part time courses daytime and/or evening – dates to be advised.
  • Short accredited and non accredited courses in a range of basic computer and employment ready subjects including Microsoft Office programs, resume writing, interview skills, using zoom plus short courses in SEO, online marketing and social media – day/evening courses at Brookvale and/or Mosman Campuses – various

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Mix of face to face and/or virtual classroom delivery to students
  • Conducting, marking and recording student assessments
  • Providing student support
  • Work placement visits (where necessary)
  • Maintenance of all aspects of compliance related to working in an RTO environment

You must

  • Be an experienced trainer/assessor with recent training experience in the qualification working for an RTO
  • Be passionate about the subject matter
  • Be a well presented, self-motivated individual who is bright and enthusiastic with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent presentation skills; including a positive and professional work manner
  • Be able to deliver courses on campus at either Brookvale or Mosman (as required by course scheduling).
  • Be available to start July 2023.
  • Knowledge of Canvas preferred.

Required qualifications:

Appropriate industry qualification and experience as defined by the Standards for RTOs 2015 and relevant Training Package plus relevant training qualification (minimum Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAE40116 or as defined in the Standards).
