Northern Beaches COVID-19 Testing Centre wait times

TESTING CENTRE WAIT TIMES Wednesday 23 December 2020

Rolling updates 23 December 2020: The following information relating to wait times at Covid Clinics on the Northern Beaches is based on public information and updates. For locations visit the NSW Health website.

2PM: There are currently no wait times beyond 30 minutes at any testing station!

Brookvale Community Health Centre: TBA is now operating 24 hours. There are reports of result times over 50 hours

Mona Vale Hospital: 1 hour (test results 24-48 hours)

Northern Beaches Hospital wait time: Less 30 minutes (9am) , results  12 hours

Old Manly Hospital drive through:

About 15 mins.This site seems to fluctuate more wildly than the others. Walk ins being accepted until 5pm. Wait times for walk ins are the same as for cars. Bikes can technically queue with cars, but riders might leave sicker than when they arrive…

Avalon pop-up and Palm Beach drive through – 10 minutes

4Cyte Pathology (a Mona Vale walk-in, clinic private but bulk billed bring medicare card). Ad says drive through but reader reports say walk-in only): 15 min wait results in 12 hours

4Cyte Frenchs Forest walk in on Russel Avenue: 20 minute wait and results in 12 hours, bring Medicare card.

Osana, a drive through clinic in Narrabeen: TBA but we are hearing reports of issues with texts not coming through to patients awaiting results.

Warringah Aquatic Centre drive through: Less than thirty minutes 8:30am, test turn around >40 hours

Warriewood drive through, Rat Park, was closed due to flood, now open. Wait time 1 hour

Cromer Drive through, car park entry off 120 South Creek Rd: Less than 20 minutes

North Curl Curl pop up: Less than 20 minutes result in 12 hours (take a pen!)

People from the Northern Beaches should not travel outside the LGA to get tested.

TIPS

Bring your Medicare card. Empty your bladder, bring water and snacks and if you’re walking in then bringing in a chair, umbrella and sunscreen might help in the event of long delays.
