Federal election in full swing as ballot positions drawn for Warringah and Mackellar

At 12pm today, Friday, 11 April 2025, in electorates across the country, ballots were drawn to determine where each candidate is placed on the green paper for voters to determine the House of Representatives. Depending on who you ask, position number 1 is usually prime position.

The federal election will be held on 3 May, 2025

We will be covering the electorates of Warringah and Mackellar, and will soon be publishing information about each candidate for those electorates in the coming fortnight.

The order of the ballots are:

WARRINGAH

1. Zali Stegall, Independent and current Member for Warringah

2. Celine Varghese-Fell, Australian Labor Party

3. Anthony Rose, Trumpet of Patriots

4. David Spratt, Independent

5. Sean McLeod, Libertarian Party NSW

6. Gavin Wright, One Nation

7. Jaimee Rogers, Liberal Party NSW

8. Bonnie Harvey, The Australian Greens

Zali Steggall draws prime position

MACKELLAR

1. Lisa Cotton, Independent

2. Brad Hayman, One Nation

3. Ethan Hrnjak, The Australian Greens

4. Justin Addison, Libertarian Party NSW

5. Amber Robertson, Trumpet of Patriots

6. James Brown, Liberal Party NSW

7. Mandeep Singh, Independent

8. Dr Sophie Scamps, Independent and current Member for Mackellar

9. Jeffrey Quinn, Australian Labor Party
