White Walls, the art of Craig Wiles – Artist Talk
In this personal exhibition, artist Craig Wiles provides an insight into living with schizophrenia. Mixing media and referencing diverse genres and styles, Craig uses abstract expression to explore and shed light on this condition. His works are bold, energetic, and rich with layers of imagery and meaning.
Wiles says, “there is such little understanding, and so much stigma, around psychosocial disability. By sharing my artwork I am able to share my own lived experience with schizophrenia and raise awareness about it.”
“When I began to paint, it changed my life. I started to get some stuff off my chest and the healing began. When I paint I am able to set myself free.”
