The Importance of Being Earnest
Enjoy some quality local theatre with The Austin Theatre Group‘s performance of Oscar Wilde’s hilarious The Importance of Being Earnest. The ensemble, made up of ex-students and teachers from St Augustine’s College, has spent nearly a year in production, squeezing in rehearsals between COVID interruptions.
The classic comedy about two bachelors who create an alter ego called Ernest to escape their tiresome lives ridicules Victorian sensibilities such as marriage, social expectations and class.
