Shark Talks: Protecting Their Playground and Ours at Harbord Hotel
Surfrider Northern Beaches is hosting a SHARK TALKS event at the Harbord Hotel on Wednesday 8th of May from 7pm to 8:30pm.
You will be hearing from a panel of shark experts on the species and migration of sharks along NSW coastline, and the variety of shark mitigation technology available and how they work. The audience will be invited to ask questions.
Surfrider Northern Beaches will be showcasing a short 10-minute version of the Envoy Documentary (narrated by Eric Bana).
MC for the night is Brendan Donohoe – President of Surfrider Northern Beaches, and the panel consists of: Lawrence Chlebeck: Marine Biologist, Humane Society International Marco Bordieri: Diver, Marine Advocate and Community Manager (Viz Dive Group) Steve Pearce: CEO Surf Lifesaving NSW Marcel Green: Sharksmart (DPI).
Doors open at 6pm and tickets need to be purchased prior to the event.
All proceeds will be going to Surfrider Northern Beaches so they can continue to hold educational/fun events like these for our local community, as well as keep up the important campaign work we do!
