
Northern Beaches – New Year’s Eve Fireworks
New Year’s Fireworks to illuminate the skies over the Northern Beaches Council will present two fireworks displays at Dee Why Beach and Frenchs Forest this New Year’s Eve and support a further two community fireworks displays at Manly and Bayview.
Fireworks will be on display from 9pm at all four locations, with Bayview hosting a fireworks display at midnight as well. Due to the wonderful success of 2021, Northern Beaches Council will present the 9pm fireworks display at Lionel Watts Reserve in Frenchs Forest once again this year.
Mayor Michael Regan said each event is designed to attract families and small groups of friends wanting to enjoy the best of our beautiful open space without travelling too far. “Get ready to celebrate! New Year’s Eve is a terrific time to spend with loved ones and friends. Pack a picnic and take the opportunity to celebrate at one of our beautiful locations. Our events will be fun, safe and inclusive.
- Fireworks locations include:
Dee Why Beach – 9pm These fireworks will be held at The Strand and Ted Jackson Reserve, Dee Why - Frenchs Forest – 9pm Get down to Lionel Watts Reserve.
- Manly Beach – 9pm The Manly Cove fireworks are presented by local businesses with support from Council. There will be 9pm fireworks at Manly Cove, East and West Esplanade Reserves, Manly.
- Bayview – 9pm and Midnight The Bayview fireworks are presented by local businesses with support from Council. To ensure compliance with fireworks exclusion zone requirements, Rowland Reserve will be closed.
Families can enjoy the fireworks from multiple outdoor vantage points around the area.
