H&I: Self-Care for Dementia Support
Join Us for a Heartwarming Community Event at the War Vets, Narrabeen.
Belong Club warmly invites everyone to an uplifting and supportive event at the War Vets in Narrabeen. This event will be held during Dementia Action Week 2024 which is from 16 to 22 September. Whether you’re living with dementia, caring for someone with dementia, or simply want to be part of a caring community, this event is for you.
Event Highlights:
- Inspiring Talk by Samantha Humphreys: Samantha, a Dementia Consultant at Proveda, will share valuable tips on self-care for both those living with dementia and their carers. Her practical advice and heartfelt support will be a highlight of the event.
- Sing For Joy Choir Performance: Enjoy a special performance by the Sing For Joy choir. This wonderful group, comprising people living with dementia and their carers, will lift our spirits with their beautiful songs.
- Community Connection: Bring a plate of your favourite food to share. Whether it’s cookies, cheese, cakes, biscuits, or chips, your contribution will make our shared afternoon tea even more delightful. This is a fantastic opportunity to mingle, build connections, and be part of a vibrant community gathering.
