Free clothing and linen collection
Ku-ring-gai Council is hosting a free clothing and linen collection in partnership with St Vincent De Paul, the textile recovery business BlockTexx and the Northern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (NSROC).
For each truckload of clothing and linen collected on the day, 10 tonnes of textile waste will be kept out of landfill. Please ensure all clothes and linen are clean and dry and separate items into bags or boxes – clothing in one and textiles in the other.
- St Ives Showground, 450 Mona Vale Road
- Between 10 am and 3 pm
- This is a drive-through operation, so pack your items in the boot
Not allowed: cushions, doonas or pillows, carpets, underlays, curtains, belts or shoes, no underwear or bras or jewellery.
Allowed
- pillowcases, fitted sheets, flat sheets, doona/quilt covers;
- tea towels, towels
- pants, dresses, shorts, tops, t-shirts, singlets
