Cut for a Cure Fundraiser

Cut for a Cure Fundraiser with St Augustine’s College

Class of 2024’s Angus McInnes is leading the “Cut for a Cure” campaign to raise funds and awareness in memory of his older brother Isaac, who passed away from brain cancer in 2018 aged 13.
Between now and the end of term staff and students are seeking donations (https://www.ccia.org.au/…/view/st-augustines-college-issac) and aiming to raise $50,000 as a community.
Students who achieve individual targets can:
  • Shave their head ($150)
  • Get a mullet ($350)
  • Dye their hair ($400)

The biggest fundraisers are shaving their heads on stage at lunchtime on Monday 24th June!

Angus McInnes lost his big brother Isaac to brain cancer in 2018.
At the time of his death, Angus was only 12yrs old and really couldn’t comprehend what was happening.
In his final year of school, about to turn 18 and begin HSC Trials in a few months he truly understands how important research is for childhood cancer.
As a result, he and his classmates have launched the “Cut for a Cure” where boys at St Augustine’s College Brookvale will be allowed to get a mullet and shave or dye their hair all for charity. They have an extremely ambitious target of $50,000 to raise for the Children’s Cancer Institute.

Please help us in supporting this event by donating at https://www.ccia.org.au/event/view/st-augustines-college-issac

The Children’s Cancer Institute is the only research centre in Australia solely dedicated to children. Did you know Brain Cancer kills more children in Australia than any other disease?
